Tuesday, December 3, 2019 – Together with the «Krebsliga beider Basel», we launched a unique awareness campaign on 3 December 2019, which will raise public awareness of the topic of «early detection» with the help of a Basel tram. The eye-catching tram will run throughout Basel over the next few years and draw attention to the heart of the campaign, the DearMamma app.
In Switzerland, 6,000 women and 60 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year. The earlier this cancer is treated, the greater the chances of cure.
Eric Sarasin, President of the «Krebsliga beider Basel» stresses: "We are very pleased that such a striking campaign is taking place here in Basel, where important steps are already being taken in the fight against breast cancer. In Basel-Stadt we offer every woman aged 50 and over a franchise free mammography every two years. The breast cancer tram should help us to shake people awake."
