We are grateful that our cause is also supported by religious leaders who are making an important difference in helping to improve early detection of breast cancer for women around the world.
Breast cancer is not a cause for shame
The diagnosis of the disease is a protection to get treatment. It is not a cause for shame.
Self-examinations should not be seen as an immodest act
Learning how to regularly perform a breast self-examination should not be seen as a shameful or immodest act. But rather it is every woman's religious duty to preserve her own life and detect cancer early.
