If you’ve been in Basel you can hardly have missed its proudly pink persona!

More than a year ago, we launched the DearMamma tram – in conjunction with the Krebsliga beider Basel – to raise breast cancer awareness right here in our home-base of Switzerland.

The city of Basel is already offering a free mammography to all women over 50 every two years, but keeping regular breast checks at the front of people’s minds is key to ensuring they make the most of these screenings. As Eric Sarasin, President of the Krebsliga beider Basel, noted, they’re pleased to have been part of this campaign which they hope will 'help […] to shake people awake’.

Although treatment options are improving all the time, early detection remains the single most effective step in curing breast cancer. In Switzerland, 6,000 women and 60 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year.
