DearMamma – Breast cancer awareness > Heroes > Voices

Support of religious leaders is important in the fight for a better awareness of breast cancer. That is why we are very grateful for the support of Sheikh Omar al-Kiswani. He is the director of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem and encourages companions of cancer patients to stand by them and not leave them. In addition, he emphasizes that the diagnosis of cancer is not a reason for shame, but a protection which allows treatment.
